Welcome to my Peace Corps journey!

Hello! If you're reading this, you probably know me, and about my venture into Nepal with the Peace Corps for the next two years. Thank you for stopping by, and for being in my life in whatever capacity you have been; and, if that's been none at all, an extra special thanks for visiting anyway!

This purpose of this blogspace will be to document my thoughts and activities during my time in Nepal in a format I can share. I'll be keeping a private journal of my experiences, also, and the interplay of my public and personal writings will be interesting. Keeping this in mind, I'm thinking a semi-formal format for this blog would be best, but there's a good chance it'll swap between semi-formal and very informal post-by-post, depending on how I feel. I'm hoping that as time goes on, it'll develop a rhythm, structure and voice as a body of work - but as it is I'm just gonna go with what will keep me writing. Either way, you should prepare yourself for some amount of quipping, side-noting, dithering, rambling, and general moseying. I do expect to start off heavy on the blog (though posting will probably be delayed); as I go through the 10-11 weeks of Pre-Service Training (PST) this summer, I won't have a ton of free time - and typing is just so much more convenient...

I don't know how often I'll be able to upload, so for now you'll just have to check back whenever it fancies you. At least once a month would be great, but I expect that updates will be at least every few weeks - maybe less frequent. There's also a possibility that I'll just stop posting at some point, which I think is pretty common... I hope that doesn't happen, though!

I'd love to hear from you during my service if you ever want to reach out. Feel free to come at me with questions about PC or Nepal, ideas for my community, updating me on things in the States (and your life), or even just for nagging me about not posting for a while... you can make that happen at tomoe.mhervol@gmail.com.
